Market structure - Breakouts, Fakeouts and Retests.
This and the “setups vs entries” section are the most important sections of the course. Pay attention. We have three fundamental market structure movements which almost all of ControllerFX is based on. Breakouts, fakeouts & retests.

1. Breakout, a breakout occurs when price breaks out of and closes above a resistance or below a support.
2. Fakeouts are when price closes outside a support/resistance but the following candle closes right back into the range.
3. Retests (onion plays) are when price break’s out (bullish) of a previous support/resistance, comes back to retest/retap that previous support/resistance then continues its way up. When a resistance successfully breaks it then becomes a support and vice versa. This is why retests occur.
These 3 market structures are the basis of all of our setups for taking a trade. This is also the fundamental way the market moves. On all time frames in an infinite cycle.
