Clean Traffic
The optimal zones for trades
We refer to areas between ranges where price action moves with little to no resistance as clean traffic. You can view clean traffic areas like the Autobahns of price action — they’re the gap between non-tradable ranges that allow us to execute on all our setups. With little to no support or resistance levels in between, taking an entry in it is driving in a lane with no other cars in your way. This is what we want to target.
Just like cars at traffic lights, you’ll see price action consolidate where other candles have stopped (where other candles have stopped) and zoom past areas where other cars have zoomed past.
Much like candles, cars move at their fastest in areas without obstruction from other cars — candles are the same — you’ll see the cleanest moves happen in areas where price action finds no support or resistance to stop at.
Not clean:
Many candles stopping price from moving above or below a particular level
Clean:
Few, candles in the way of price moving above or below a particular level
Clean traffic is spotted by looking at historical price data and finding areas where price was able to drive up or below without major rejections.
Always look to the left-hand side of the chart to find areas of clean traffic at the nearest major price swing.
